Keeping Teams on Track:
What to Do When the Going Gets Rough
by Linda Moran, Ed Musselwhite,
and John. H. Zenger with John C. Harrison.
330 pages

Irwin Professional Publishing

I wrote this book for AchieveGlobal, a leading training and consulting firm. The project involved debriefing the authors in face-to-face meetings and through long distance phone interviews, then organizing their thoughts, insights, and experience into a cogent, easy to read text. The project also required abstracting relevant information from professional journals as well as visiting various manufacturing facilities to condict first-hand interviews of successful team operations.

"Without jargon or the familiar evangelistic zeal of advocates, this easily read book tells those who lead teams and those who consult to them how to manage the team's launch, maintain its momentum and handle unpredictable threats to the team's safe arrival at its desired destination. The book's treasure trove of illustrative team tales and practical tools will benefit readers who have wondered about what to do when the sum of their team's efforts was less than the total of individual member contributors."

Harvey A. Horstein, Ph.D., professor of psychology and author of Brutal Bosses and Their Prey
