That is really newsworthy for many designers. For example, have you ever thought how beneficial it would be to reserve red for "danger" or "alert" and use a soothing, eye-saving green for all those other times when everything is A-okay.

General Instrument's high efficiency green displays come in the two most popular digit sizes -- 03' and 0.56" -- and are pin-for-pin compatible with our red and orange displays. High efficiency green bar graphs and panel indicators are also available.

All offer a wide viewing angle -- 150'. They feature the rugged reliability and long life of solid state (in marked contrast to vacuum fluorescent devices). Their fast switching makes them excellent for multiplexing. And they're directly compatible with integrated circuits.

One further refinement. All General Instrument green LED displays are coded for luminous intensity and color.

Our high efficiency green lamps are available in T-3/4, T-1, T-1 3/4 families, and rectangular packages, and they're pin-for-pin replacements for first generation lamps.
