THE DAMN THING'S A QUARTER MILE LONG.
I ask you. What company could be more dedicated to duplicate microfilm than Xidex?
After all, who's the only company with two dedicated coating lines? Who regularly makes major capital investments in quality and productivity? Who's still expanding a product line that's already the industry's largest?
Only one company fits that description.
But frankly, without a new finishing plant, we'd pushed our operating efficiency as far as it could go. As good as we were, we couldn't get any better. We'd run smack up against a bottleneck.
So we closed our aging plant in Holyoke, Massachusetts. And we began the staggering job of consolidating both our finishing plants into one gigantic new facility in Sunnyvale, California.
You should see it. It goes on forever.
It's modern. It's automated. It's a lot more efficient. But what a job to get it on line. In a plant this size everything took on gargantuan proportions. Everything from installing converting equipment to setting up systems to hiring and training people.
Regretfully, our delivery schedules sometimes suffered during the changeover. Customers have always expected an exceptional level of service from Xidex. So anything short of that was bound to get noticed. And it was.
But we're pleased to announce that any inconvenience is now history. Our new plant is humming away. Delivery is back to normal.
We're good old Xidex once again.
Today, nobody is more committed to duplicate microfilm. Or to building a universe of totally satisfied customers.
