Challenge. The Delancey Street Foundation is not just the world's most successful organization for the rehabilitation of drug addicts, robbers, prostitutes, murderers, and other felons. It also proactively addresses the needs of the local community.

I was called in to help them put together an ad designed to raise consciousness of Delancey's involvement in supporting the elderly.

Solution. The poignant photo was taken in the tenderloin district of San Francisco by a Delancey resident who also had experience as a professional photographer.

Once I saw his photo, the ad just wrote itself.

THEY MAKE MIRACLES HAPPEN DAILY

Challenge. Delancey Street Foundation has a track record for accomplishing the "impossible." When I heard they were going to erect their own $26 million facility along San Francisco's Embarcadero, I could hardly believe my ears.

But that's just what they did, with the help of local unions and civic organizations who provided guidance and training. This ad was needed to help solicit donations.

Solution. The challenge was to capture in the tone of the ad the will power, determination, and the total belief that there's hardly anything Delancey Street can't do when they put their mind to it.

P.S. The exquisite complex has become a San Francisco landmark.
