SEEK AND YE SHALL FIND Challenge. Write a compelling fund raising letter for the Japanese American Citizens League. Solution. The most difficult part of a letter is always the beginning. How do you grab the reader? The answer is, you dig for for the drama. In this case I unearthed a gem - an unsolicited letter written by a non-Japanese American who was moved by the stand taken by the JACL on a human rights issue. The individual was moved enough to apply for membership. It made for a great opening. |
